Men of the Civilian JTF assisting the Nigerian Army in battling Boko Haram insurgents in the north east have arrested two boys with ties to the Boko Haram sect in Maiduguri, Borno state. According to a post on Facebook on Sunday, September 11, by the JTF fighters, both boys who are from Nguro Soye under the Bama local government confessed to killing 35 people in one the Boko Haram raids on Bama.

Meanwhile, the Nigeria army has discovered a new tactic Boko Haram insurgents are using to get into populated areas and cause havoc even as it recorded major victories in the past week. According to acting director army public relations, Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman, the insurgents now disguise as mad people to enter into gatherings.
In a related development, Muslims going to their village to celebrate the Eid el-Kabir festival have been attacked by Boko Haram terrorists. The Punch reports that one person died and some wounded and children were wounded as the attack was carried out Saturday, September 10. The terrorists opened fire on a convoy of vehicles travelling to Maiduguri from Monguno.
